Bengals’ tee higgins say he would ‘love’ to return to Cincinnati in front of free agency

Cincinnati Bengals Star Wide recipient Tee Higgins would very much like to return to free agency, but knows it’s not in his control.

Higgins, 26 and colleague star Ja’Marr Chase has been one of the league’s best wide receiver duos since Chase entered the NFL in 2021.

“I mean, of course I would love to be there in Cincinnati. I love this. I love the city. I love the fans. I love the coaching staff, all in the building. But hey, it’s not in my control.” Higgins said via FOX19 Cincinncati.

Higgins is one of many key players that Bengals have hit free agency, and it is not guaranteed that they will offer a strong offer to preserve their 2020 second round elections.

Defensive Tackle BJ Hill, Cornerback Mike Hilton and the tight end Mike Gesicki are among the core group of players hitting free agency.

In addition, Chase and Star Edge Rusher Trey Hendrickson are looking for big contract extensions.

Higgins said he will take some time away before deciding on his future.

“I’m just trying to stay away from it right now and clear your head, get away from the game, especially after this, after (Super Bowl). Clear my head, get away from the game for a few weeks, and then, of course, in March, it’s when things start ramping up for me with the free agency coming up, ”Higgins said.

Higgins will be in great demand in free agency. Despite being the other Fele to hunt in Cincinnati, he has proven his ability to be No. 1 receiver in any team’s violation.

The 6-foot-4-inch recipient has dealt with injury problems that lack five matches in each of the last two seasons, but has been very productive when on the field.

Higgins caught 73 passports in 911 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.

Throughout his five-year career, Higgins has caught 330 passports in 4,595 yards and 34 touchdowns.

The Bengals ended 9-8 this season, just missing the playoffs after suffering a too many heartbreaking losses early in the season.

Keeping higgins, including key players, would go to great lengths to make sure Bengals remain in playoffs in the coming years.
