Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has heavily condemned the suicide attack on the long March led by Balochistan National Party-Mengal (GDP-M) chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal.

Bilawal expressed deep concern about the attack that took place at Lak Pass in Mastung and targeted Mengal’s long march. He has instructed Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and the authorities to bring Masterminds behind this suicide bomb to justice.

The suicide bomber detonated explosives near GDP-M’s protest site in Lak Pass, approx. 30 kilometers from Quetta. Fortunately, Akhtar Mengal and other party leaders left unscathed.

Sources confirm that the explosion took place at a distance from GDP-M sit-in, and no losses were reported among the party’s leadership and supporters.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the attack, while political leaders continue to condemn the violence and call for greater security measures.
