Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday termed the Sindh government’s private partnership (PPP) model “as a successful economic framework” that could also strengthen the national economy.
Chairing a meeting at Bilawal House on PPP projects in Sindh, Bilawal emphasized that the Sindh government was improving the quality of life of citizens across various sectors, from healthcare to infrastructure, through these innovative partnerships.
According to a statement net issued by Media Cell Bilawal House, the PPP chairman received a briefing on various PPP projects aimed at improving infrastructure in sectors such as agriculture, fisheries and electronic vehicle charging.
Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister on Public-Private Partnership Qasim Naveed Qamar briefed Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari about various PPP projects aimed at improving infrastructure in sectors such as agriculture, fisheries and electronic vehicle charging.
While giving the briefing Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister on Public Private Partnership Qasim Naveed Qamar said that the PPP model projects in agriculture sector would lead to significant increase in crop yield including rice, potatoes, bananas, oranges, mangoes. , guavas and dates.
In addition, updates were also provided on PPP projects in the fisheries sector aimed at increasing exports through improved packaging and processing. Later, participants discussed partnerships with international organizations to establish electronic charging infrastructure in the province.
Bilawal emphasized that through the PPP projects, Pakistan could achieve an economic revolution. He pointed out that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto envisioned the concept of public-private partnership in 1993 and “today its positive results are evident to all”.
