A scheduled meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) President Bilawal Bhutto-Zze-Zoni Monday has been delayed, express news reported Monday.
Bilawal, who was expected to arrive at Islamabad today, postponed his visit because of “employment with some important questions”, according to Party Insiders.
The two leaders are now expected to meet within the next few days.
Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was scheduled to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today.
The PPP chairman was to attend a high -level meeting with coalition parties to be led by the prime minister in the federal capital.
During the meeting with the coalition parties where the most important leaders of the parties would participate, Bilawal would communicate its party’s concern over violating an agreement that PPP and PM’s party, PML-N, signed for power division after the February 8, 2024 general elections.
The meeting was set to tackle several urgent concerns, including government issues and OPPP’s dissatisfaction with the allocation of funds to its legislators in Punjab.
PPP has been increasingly vocal about its reservations with regard to the PML-N-led administration.
Last week, PPP legislators in Punjab conveyed their complaints to President Asif Ali Zardari in Lahore and complained that PML-N had sidelined them in the decision-making process.
President Zardari is also expected to engage in PML-N management in an attempt to solve the problems.
