Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has rejected speculation about the party’s endorsement to the federal cabinet and rejected reports of his participation in US President Donald Trump’s deployment.

Bilawal spoke to journalists after meeting senate chairman at Islamabad and said, “The news of participating in the inauguration came from the media. They should be asked about it. I may be visiting the US for breakfast and meeting some friends; it has been a tradition since my mother’s time.”

Bilawal clarified PPP’s position on joining the Shehbaz cabinet and stated: “The People’s Party does not join the cabinet. I am neither minister nor have any government post. Therefore, my visit to the United States will have no official obligations.”

Bilawal’s comments come in the midst of continuous speculation about PPP’s political strategy and its potential role in the coalition government.

Earlier, President PPP has strongly criticized the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMNL-N)-led federal government for making ‘unilateral decisions without consulting his political allies’ and warned that such actions cause unnecessary challenges for administration.

In a speech at an event in the federal capital, Bilawal Bhutto emphasized the importance of consensus -based policy design and emphasized that Pakistan’s political system thrives when the government listens to the population and cooperates with key stakeholders.

“When the government makes decisions without consulting its allies or taking into account the public’s wishes, it ends up complicating the situation for itself,” he noted.

The PPP leader also recalled the party’s long-standing support for the rights of workers and the struggle for Pakistan’s working class.

He noted that the efforts of three generations of PPP leaders have led to the establishment of significant rights for the nation’s workers, beginning with the historical contributions of his grandfather, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who helped secure the Constitution, and continued with the leadership of His grandfather. Deceased mother, Benazir Bhutto, who was firmly against military dictatorship.
