Julian Edelman defended Jordon Hudson on Wednesday when control over Bill Belichick’s interview was intensified.
Former New England Patriot’s Star Wide recipient said critics have received an “unreasonable” description of what happened during Belichick’s interview with CBS.
In the segment, Belichick was asked how he and Hudson met, and she interacted from the side and shut down the question.

The interview was for Belichick’s new book describing his 24-year-old girlfriend as his “Creative Muse.”
“People get an unreasonable reality for what’s going on because she jumped into that conversation during the conversation, just as every PR person would jump in when there’s an unnecessary question that probably (they) didn’t go into the pre -production meeting,” Edelman said at “Dudes on Dudes” podcast
“From what I’ve heard, Jordon plays Berj role, handles all football tops, handles a lot of his social, much of his pr.
“When you look at this situation and you say, ‘This is his girlfriend who jumps in,’ I think it’s unfair. I think she is actually working with coach Belichick in the professional world and she probably went and said, ‘Hi, no, we don’t.’
Hudson’s interruption was the only one sent. At one point she delayed the interview for 30 minutes after storming out, TMZ Sports reported earlier this week.
Belichick broke his silence on the debate on Wednesday, defended his girlfriend and accused CBS of creating a “false tale” with “selectively edited” clips.

“Unfortunately, this expectation was not honored during the interview. I was surprised when non -related topics were introduced, and I repeatedly expressed to the reporter, Tony Dokoupil, and the producers, whom I preferred to keep the conversation centered on the book,” the coach said.
“After this happened several times, Jordon, which I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to repeat this point to help focus the discussion. She did not derive any specific question or topic, but merely did her job to make sure the interview remained on track. Flight to the Palm Beach in 2021.
“The last eight-minute segment does not reflect the productive 35-minute conversation we had, which covered a wide range of topics related to my career. Instead, the selectively edited clips and still images from just minutes of the interview to suggest a false narrative-to Jordon tried to control the conversation-simply is not true.”
CBS responded to Belichick’s statement later Wednesday.

“When we agreed to talk to Mr. Belichick, it was for a broad interview,” the company said. “There were no prerequisites or limitations for this conversation. This was repeatedly confirmed with his publisher before the interview took place and after it was completed.”
