Last season, Josh Allen undoubtedly produced the best performance of his NFL career.

Allen recently took a moment to reflect on his personal results, but also made it clear that raised by the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy remains his primary goal.

“I don’t play too much into it,” Allen Sports Illustrated said. “You know it’s such a great honor and I appreciate being honored for my work. But at the same time, I still didn’t win a Super Bowl. Not won a ring, and that’s the only goal. That’s the only focus I’ve ever had in this league.”

While the Buffalo calculations have had significant success with regular season with Allen under the center, Star-Quarterback has helped guide the bills to six consecutive playoffs. The bills have also won five straight AFC East Division titles.

However, the team has come short in the autumn season for the last several years.

This last January AFC Championship match against Kansas City Chiefs marked the latest disappointment for the bills. Allen just came in centimeters short on the bill version of “Tush Push” in the fourth quarter, which allowed Chiefs to hold on for a 32-29 win.

Chiefs have managed to eliminate the bills four times during the last five NFL postsasons.

Allen promised to continue to put in the necessary work with hope of getting buffalo “over this hump.”

“At the end of the day you were going to play end games, and then you won three, maybe four games,” Allen added. “And that’s what we need to do. And we’ll continue to work as hard as we can and I included. What can we do to find a way over that hump? So that’s the only goal in the future.”

It’s been more than three decades since the bills went on to the Super Bowl. The franchise suffered four consecutive defeats in the big game from 1991-94.

The bills open the regular season 2025 on September 7 at home against Baltimore Ravens.
