Bitcoin (BTC) Purchase doesn’t stop in El Salvador: President Nayib Bukele

Led by President Nayib Bukele, El Salvador does not seem to intend to stop his accumulation of Bitcoin (BTC), no matter what the IMF requires.

“‘It all stops in April.’ ‘All this stops in June.’ ‘All this stops in December.’ No, it doesn’t stop, “Bukele posted on x Tuesday afternoon. “If it didn’t stop when the world eradicated us and most ‘Bitcoiners’ abandoned us, it won’t stop now and it won’t stop in the future. Proof of work> proof of whining.”

BUKEL’s Social Media Post came shortly after the International Monetary Fund (IMF) published more details of its $ 3.5 billion deal with the Latin American nation. As part of the loan package, the IMF claimed a ban on “voluntary accumulation of bitcoin of the public sector.”

Maybe in response to the IMF post, or maybe not, El Salvador revealed late Monday night the purchase of 19 Bitcoin over the previous seven days, and then Tuesday afternoon revealed the purchase of an extra token on top of it.

The IMF News pulled a number online Howls by Bitcoiners, including from Samson Mow, which at least has been close to President Bukele.

“No more #bitcoin buys for El Salvador,” Mow said earlier on Tuesday. “The purchases will stop everyone within a few months,” he said later, after the country actually made an extra purchase.

The Salvadoran government currently has 6,101.15 Bitcoin worth approx. $ 530 million for Bitcoin’s current price of about $ 88,000.

“The message is not only important – it’s a catalyst for monumental change. Thanks [Nayib Bukele]”Juan Carlos Reyes, President of El Salvadors National Commission on Digital Assets (CNAD), which was sent on X, which connects back to Bukele’s post.
