During the Future Games Show Spring Showcase Today, Bloober Team announced that the game is inspired by Skybund Entertainment’s Eisner Award-nominated Cartoon series with the same name, created by author Kyle Starks and artist Aryom Topilin.
I hate this place Launched in Q4 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch and PC and will be developed by Rock Square Thunder.
The first trailer revealed that the game was a brand new isometric survival ridge game with a striking visual art style inspired by the 80s retro cartoon aesthetics.
In the game you play as Elena, whose struggle for survival begins when she inadvertently arouses a vicious strength, the horned man.
“Outmatched and chased in a hostile world, players have to think quickly and manipulate their surroundings to even the odds against formidable enemies,” the Bloober team describes.
Players will also engage in excited shooting matches and melee, “which rewards ingenuity over Brute Force,” as well as essential tools for crafts to survive the desert long enough to reach safe houses before the evening. There is also a day and night cycle that affects the gameplay dynamics, but the players have to look after and avoid the horned man at all costs.
