Bodies of nine killed passengers sent home

The bodies of nine passengers martyrated in a terrorist attack in the Sardhaka area overnight were sent to their hometowns in Punjab for funeral Friday as the provincial government expanded the extent of law enforcement agencies (LEA) to launch decisive actions against the perpetrators.

They slaughtered in the terrorist attack in the evening belonged to Lahore, Gujrat, Khanewal, Gujranwala, Lodhran, Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffarh and Attock Districts. They included two brothers Jabbar and Usman from Dunyapur.

Balochistan government spokesman Shahid Rind said Fitna Al Hindustan, an expression used for Indian-backed terrorist organizations in Balochistan, had carried out attacks in three different places.

The terrorist attack took place near the Zhob and Loralai district border. The bodies were brought to Zhob, where they were received by Deputy Commissioner Usman Khalid and Border Military Police Commander Asad Khan Chandia.

The victims who traveled from Quetta to Lahore were identified as Muhammad Irfan, Dera Ghazi Khan; Sabir Hussain, Gujranwala; Muhammad Asif, Chowk Qureshi; Ghulam Saeed, Khanewal; Muhammad Junaid, Lahore; Muhammad Bilal, Attock; Bilawal, Gujrat and Jabbar and Usman, Dunyapur.

The funeral beans for the Jabbar toor brothers and Usman Toor were held at Government Boys High School, Dunyapur in Lodhran district. Relatives said the victims traveled to attend their father’s funeral.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti ordered that the law enforcement authorities should launch an immediate and decisive act against those involved in the Sardhaka massacre, and authorized them to act beyond the “usual limits of charges and police jurisdictions if necessary.”

The Minister of the Minister was chairman of a security meeting in the provincial capital to review the law and the order situation in the province and received a briefing from the Balochistan inspector of the police on the Sardhaka incident and updates on the ongoing investigation and security operations in the area.

“The exercise of these terrorists will continue until they are brought to court. There will be no compromise on enforcing the law in Balochistan,” the minister said, adding that security forces have been empowered to act beyond the usual limits of taxes and police jurisdictions.

‘Barbaric Act’

President Asif Ali Zardari described the killing of passengers as a “barbaric act” and said it was part of Fitna al-Hindustan’s wider conspiracy to destabilize Pakistan. He confirmed the state’s obligation to clean the country Fitna al-Hindustan and their facilitators at all costs.

Similarly, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Sardhaka massacre condemned and called it “obvious terrorism”. He claimed that the perpetrators would be treated through full state force. “The blood of innocent people will be avenged,” he said, accusing India of supporting such acts against unarmed civilians.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the killings as “Feig Barbarism” of “Indian? Sponsored Terrorists and their local facilitators” and promised nationwide persecution and punishment for the perpetrators. He confirmed the state’s obligation to avert all reasons against national peace and integrity.
