Hayley McNEFF, a national -ranked bodybuilder, nutrition physiologist and life coach, has died, according to an obituary published on Tuesday. She was 37.
McNEff’s death was reported by Boston.com, who described her death as “unexpected but peaceful.”
She was a native in Massachusetts who trained from Umass Amherst and became a master bodybuilder.

McNEff’s family released a statement to People Magazine on Thursday when Word of her death became public.
“Hayley was like a beam of light in this world. She had unlimited energy and was very determined to achieve what she sat down to do,” her father Dave told the magazine. “She put her views on bodybuilding and fitness and achieved the highest success that the sector offered. She loved us and we love Hayley much, we miss her crazy.”
RXMuscle.com noted that McNEFF won the overall category in the East Coast Classic in 2009 and was shown in the series “Raising the Bar”.

She later pursued a degree in psychology.
“Hayley was known for her quick width and constant sense of humor, she had a gift to make them laugh and feel welcome,” said her obituary. “Her energy and determination were a constant in her life, and she always achieved what she set out to achieve.
“She appreciated her friendships and used to strong, lasting relationships with those who knew her best. Hayley will be deeply missed by her parents, siblings, extended family and friends.”

McNEFF’s death is the latest bodybuilder who has died in the last year. Bodybuilding legend Ronnie Coleman has also experienced health issues this year.
