Newly released bodycam footage showed the immediate aftermath of Tiger Woods’ car crash in Florida last week that resulted in the golf legend’s shocking DUI arrest.

Woods was involved in a two-vehicle collision in which his car rolled onto its driver’s side, resulting in him having to escape out of the passenger door.

The 15-time major champion was charged with driving under the influence, despite blowing “triple-zero” on a breathalyzer. Woods was found with pills in his pocket, a moment that was caught on camera.

The pills, later identified as hydrocodone, a prescription opioid for pain relief, were initially found in Woods’ pocket. Woods previously told law enforcement officers prior to the field sobriety tests that he underwent seven back surgeries and “over 20 surgeries on his legs.” He told law enforcement that “I take a couple” of prescription drugs.

In 2021, he was involved in a wreck that resulted in serious leg injuries that kept him off the golf course for the entire year.

A deputy is shown with his finger in the air as Woods, hiccupping, tries to follow it with his eyes. Woods sat on the bumper of a vehicle while taking the test.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Pakinomist Digital, deputies with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office reported observing several signs of impairment at the scene, noting that the golf legend was “sweating profusely” and that his movements appeared “sluggish and slow.” Law enforcement continued to conduct field sobriety tests because of their suspicions. Woods was asked to remove his glasses, and the deputy who performed the tests said his eyes appeared to be “bloodshot and glassy” and “extremely dilated.”

In one video, Woods, on one knee, told a deputy he looked “down at my phone, and all of a sudden, boom.”

The officer appeared to pat him on the back before telling Woods that a doctor would “check you out.” The officer said he “didn’t feel anything” on Woods’ back. The officer then spoke with a bystander who said Woods “hit the trailer.” The officer then went to the driver who was hit, who said he was fine.

“I was getting ready to turn,” said the other driver. “And he came fast. I don’t think he looked, that’s the thing.”

The driver said Woods hit the trailer attached to the back of his vehicle. The officer then instructed cars on the road to turn around as they were set to close the road.

Friday’s arrest marked Woods’ second DUI arrest in the past decade. In 2017, he was taken into custody, also on Jupiter Island, after taking prescription drugs and sleeping behind the wheel of a moving car at

Woods, who may be vying for his sixth green jacket next week, announced Tuesday that he would not return to the golf course yet and instead “seek treatment” after the crash.

“I know and understand the gravity of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery,” Woods said in a statement posted on social media Tuesday. “I am committed to taking the time necessary to return to a healthier, stronger and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”

Woods pleaded not guilty to DUI. He was also charged with property damage and refusal to submit to a test.

The crash came just days after Woods returned to some aspect of competitive golf after rupturing his Achilles last year while playing in the TGL final on Monday. The crash happened 13 days before the Masters, which Woods will now officially miss. It was not yet known if he would play before the crash.
