The leaders of the Dawoodi Bohra Society, representing his holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, paid a condolence call on his highness prince Rahim al-Hussaini Aga Khan V, in Lisbon, on the sad passing of his father, his highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV.

Mr. Sultan Ali Allana, representative of AKDN, received the delegation introduced to him by lawyer Mehmood Yusuf Mandviwalla. The delegation included Shahzada Ammar Jamaluddin, brother of his holiness, Shahzada Mehlam Yunus and Barrister Mehmood Yusuf Mandviwalla.

At the meeting were leaders of the Ismaili community consisting of Mr. Sultan Ali Allana also present. A condolence letter from Syedna was handed over to Prince Rahim, where his father’s visionary leadership and tireless efforts to promote education, healthcare and social welfare were praised.

In addition, Syedna also remembered how Dawoodi Bohra and the Ismaili community shared ancestry and in -depth obligation to maintain the value and legacy of Fatimid Imams.

Syedna also remembered the deep bond between the communities that expanded for generations from the time of his holiness Syedna Tahir Saifuddin and Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin.

The Dawoodi Bohra Society is in solidarity with the Ismaili community in this time of grief and offers its deepest sympathy and support.

Syedna also conveyed his prayers to Prince Rahim about his accession as Aga Khan V and continued the spiritual heritage of his ancestors.
