Bold Rate Decision, Tesla Earnings, Bybit Roadmap: Crypto Week Ahead

After weeks where bitcoin price has been capped mainly between $85,000 and $95,000, the crypto market may be thrown a reason to break out of dormancy on Wednesday, when the Federal Open Markets Committee sets US interest rates.

May, that is. Don’t want to. The consensus, more than 97%, is for the Fed to hold rates steady at 3.50%-3.75%, according to CME’s Fedwatch tool. As always, what is said in the post-decision press conference can be more influential than the decision itself.

It’s the start of the US earnings season. While no major crypto companies are scheduled to report, investors will likely be keeping an eye on electric car maker Tesla ( TSLA ) and what it says about its bitcoin stash. The company has more than 11,500 BTC, ranking it as the 13th largest company holder, according to BitcoinTreasuries.net.

Bybit, ranked as the second largest crypto exchange by CoinGecko, is also likely to be in the news. CEO Ben Zhou will unveil the company’s 2026 roadmap on Thursday. Almost a year ago, Bybit was hit by North Korean hackers who made off with about $1.4 billion worth of ether. and exposed ether.
