Julio César Chávez Jr. Was arrested by immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) just four days after fighting for Jake Paul in the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
The Department of Homeland Security announced the arrest on Thursday and said that Chávez was treated for “accelerated removal from the United States.”
The announcement also stated that Chávez has an arrest warrant in Mexico for his commitment to the Sinaloa cartel.
“On July 2, Ice Mexican boxer and criminal arrested illegal strangers Julio César Chávez Jr.,” reads the message of X.
“He is now being treated for expeditioned removal from the United States. This Sinaloa Cartel -associated company has an active arrest warrant in Mexico for his commitment to organized crime and trade in firearms, ammunition and explosives.”
