Brad Pitt recently became honest and opened to his first anonymous Alcoholics anonymous (AA) after divorce from Angelina Jolie.
Monday, June 23 —Pisode of Armchair expert with dax shepard, The 61-year-old American actor and film producer talked about going to his first AA meeting after his separation from Jolie.
Pitt told the 50-year-old American actor, comedian and host who was also at this meeting, “I needed to reboot, I had to wake the fuck in some areas.”
Shepard shared that “a famous people’s famous people” have been at this AA meeting, and Pitt’s presence was “overwhelming” in the way you would expect from a big star.
However, he was not sure if the meeting would make it difficult for F1 Stars to open up, but it “turned out not to be the case at all.”
Shepard said to Pitt, “You were so f ***** honest. I was like, he must have a stubbornness that I have, which is like ‘yes, all this is going on, but I refuse to let it be a person.'”
The Troy Actor admitted that he had not thought of the experience that way before and was open at the time because things did not go in his favor.
“I was pretty much on my back, on my knees. I was really open to … I tried everything someone threw on me. It was a particularly difficult time,” he said.
At the beginning of the discussion, Pitt felt a little nervous, but when he saw people being “so open”, it persuaded him “to go,” and eventually he ended up deciding, “OK, I want to go out on this edge and see what happens.” Then I just really grew to love it. “
The Mr. & Mrs. Smith Alun admitted that it was “incredible” to be with other men in a room that shared “their experiences, their ambiguities, their mistakes, their desires, their tenderness – and a lot of humor with it.”
Brad Pitt called the experience “Really Special” when he was brought up in Ozarks in Missouri, where people put an effort into hiding their feelings and pretending “Everything is amazing.”
