New York Giants looked at CUSP of beating Dallas Cowboys for the first time in Dallas since 2016, but Kicker Brandon Aubrey had other ideas Sunday at AT&T Stadium.

Giants Quarterback Russell Wilson, who threw in 450 yards, launched a 48-yard touchdown pass for Malik Nabers-Hans’s second of the game to put New York ahead 37-34 with 25 seconds left. It was Giants’ third touchdown drive in half when both teams traded scores behind Wilson and Dak Prescott.

But Prescott, with all three timeouts in his hand, knew he could get into field target reach for Aubrey, which is arguably the best kicker in the NFL. On second-and-10 with 14 seconds left, Prescott Jake Ferguson hit an 18-yard win to reach Aubrey’s reach, and Javonte William’s ran left hash to create the potential binding kick.

It was a 64-yard attempt and although the ball started running to the right, it remained true down the middle to force overtime at 37-37 after four quarters.

There were several theater for extra time as both teams pointed to their opening holdings and created a win-or-go-home finish. After Giants’ defense forced another cowboys point, Wilson had a chance to hood his incredible performance with his first win in a Giants uniform.

But on second-and-13, Wilson threw a deep ball from his back foot without a Giants receiver in the area. Instead, Donovan Wilson made the interception and swung the momentum back to Dallas.

Prescott quickly found George Pickens for a win of 27 yard on the subsequent drive, then shrinked in 14 yards to create a 46-yard attempt. Aubrey drilled it down the middle and Cowboys fans exhaled as their team went away with another victory over their NFC East Rivals.

Giants, who couldn’t score a touchdown in week 1, looked much sharper with Wilson finding the rhythm behind better protection. Nabers broke out with nine receptions in 167 yards and two scores, while Wan’dale Robinson added eight catches in 142 yards and a decisive fourth touchdown in the fourth quarter. Rookie Cam Tax Bo also scored his first career that rushing touchdown.

However, Cowboys continued to answer each of the Giants push. Prescott threw in 361 yards with two touchdowns and one eavesdropping, while Ceedee Lamb led the way with nine catches in 112 yards. Pickens scored his first touchdown in a cowboys uniform and ended with five catches in 68 yards.

It was another exciting NFC East Battle, but with Dallas expanding his winning row over New York, the rivalry is still one -sided.
