Chappell Roan just stood his ground.
From playing to one of the biggest audiences to gallantly battling the downsides of fame Red wine Supernova The singer has gained a remarkable fan base and a reputation as someone who isn’t afraid to speak her mind.
Recently, after being hailed as brave, she clarified that her advocacy, especially for the rights of the trans community, is not brave, but a matter of life and death.
In an exclusive conversation with BBC Radio 1, in celebration of receiving the Sound of 2025 award, Chappell was praised for the boundaries she has with both press and fans.
“I think it comes out of survival more than bravery,” she told the paper.
Chappell continued: “I’m standing up for myself on a red carpet or fighting for trans rights with what’s happening [in the USA] is life or death.”
“It’s just a duty. I feel responsible to do my best as a human being,” the HOT TO GO crooner added.
Chappell Roan is particularly known for her support of the transgender community, not only because of her unapologetically queer music, but also because of how she dedicated her VMA win to “the queer and trans people who are passionate about pop.”
