Atlanta braves TV reporter Wiley Ballard’s interaction with two female fans, while On-Air triggered a journalistic debate on social media on Monday night and into Tuesday.
Braves was in the middle of an 8-4 win over Toronto Blue Jays when Fanduel Sports Network sent to Ballard, who spoke with two women in the roof terrace at the Rogers Center in Toronto. None of the women seemed to have hope for braves.

Ballard was in the air when he said the broadcast booth wanted him to get their number.
“I’m dead serious, they say in my ear right now … she doesn’t believe me because she thinks in guys are doing this up.” Said Ballard. “I want to use it in the future, it’s actually a pretty good move.
“I should have thought of this year ago.”
A woman apparently put her phone number in Ballard’s phone. The other woman did not seem to follow.

Ballard posted in his X account a scene from “Good Will Hunting” showing Matt Damon’s character who gets Minnie Driver’s character phone number.
Braves Color Commentator CJ Nitkowski defended Ballard on X. Play-by-Plan Brandon Gaudin also seemed to praise Ballard’s efforts.
