ONE Video became viral Back in December, Mark Gastineau, who confronted Brett Favre in 2023, contained Michael Strahan, who fired the Green Bay Packers legend to break Gastineau’s sack plate in one season.
In the last game of the 2001 season, Favre looked to fall on the field before he was tackled by Strahan, which gave New York Giants legend the record. (It has since been bound by TJ Watt.) Gastineau accused Favre of taking a “dive” and the piece remains controversial.

The confrontation was shown in ESPNS 30 for 30, “New York Sack Exchange;” Not coincidentally, Favre said he thinks the meeting was scheduled by “ESPN and/or NFL movie.”
“There are athletes from all sports; generally it’s retired guys. So you come across a lot of different guys but I had no clue and I really think it was a setup of ESPN and/or NFL movie,” Favre said to Mihcele Tafoya on her podcast.
Favre said he had seen a camera “hid” over a “dividing line” and admitted he had been a little worried.

“He actually came right to the table – he’s still a big guy … … Honest, I thought, the last thing I want to do is fight for this guy right here,” Favre said.
The Hall of Fame QB added that he felt that Gastineau “wasn’t everyone there” because of his history of concussion.
Favre took to X shortly after the confrontation became viral, in an attempt to “clear the air” that admitted that it “might” had “crossed my mind to help Strahan,” but he did not try to “hurt” gastineau .

“I started out of a race and thought it would be open, so Strahan stand there and appeared down. The game was over. There was no need for me to do anything spectacular. It probably wasn’t Michael’s best sack or tackle for Losses.
