Milwaukee Brewers became the first team in the MLB this season to get a postal seasonberth after a 9-8 win over St. Louis Cardinals.
Before he celebrated in the dressing room, the deceased breweries that forced legend Bob Uecker, a Ford C. Frick Award recipient and member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, were currently.
Manager Pat Murphy told his “brewery” that he had received a “letter today from UECK.” The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that the letter was handed over to Murphy by owner Mark Attanasio, although described as a “tribute to Uecker”, which made it unclear if the TV station actually wrote it.

The message had extra significance for a group that last celebrated a quay space after the season with Uecter in the clubhouse. Uecker died in January at the age of 90.
“Howdy, Boys. Never doubt that you would get this invitation,” Murphy read from the paper in a video sent by the breweries at X. “You did it by believing. Really miss you and I wish I was there. The god, Almighty, chose me to be on his team up here, though I’m the third prisoner.

“Told the big guy about you. You play hard every night. You’re not afraid to play for each other. He is obviously very interested in the group with this unusual goodness … the fact that you have the best record in baseball and the best roadcord in baseball caught his attention. I know you really don’t need me but I have to tell you, I will be on the head and see. light and believe in each other.
After reading, Murphy lifted a glass to Uecter.
“Let’s toast for him and our team, and what we have achieved so far,” he said.

The breweries have not only been a surprise this season, but a power center in the National League as the autumn season is approaching only a few weeks left in the regular season. They own MLB’s best record of 91-58, and although they have played playoffs for seven of the past eight seasons, they still hunt their first world series quay since 1982.
Uecker released the breweries years before the World Series race, began his career in 1971 and held his headset through 2024. He also received worldwide recognition for his roles in the “Major League” films and on sitcom “Mr. Belvedere.”
Uecter fought for lung cancer and died on January 16. Throughout this season, the brewers have worn a patch on their jerseys to honor his contribution to the organization.
