British Council cancels Thursday’s exams in Lahore

The British Council has announced the cancellation of all GCE, IGCSE, IELTS and the University of London exams, scheduled for Thursday’s afternoon’s (PM) session across all Lahore games due to tensions.

According to a statement from the Council, the decision has been made in coordination with the relevant examination boards to ensure the security and security of all candidates.

“This decision has been made to prioritize the candidate’s safety and security,” the council said, calling on students and parents to rely only on official British counseling platforms for the latest updates.

Candidates have been asked to remain in contact with their schools for further guidance. Private candidates have been asked to reach out to the British Council’s Customer Service Center for help.

The declaration did not mention whether the exams would be re -planned, but emphasized that all additional messages would be published through official channels.

The development comes after India launched unprovoked strikes in Pakistan in the early hours of Wednesday, two weeks after it accused its neighbor of involvement in an attack in the occupied Kashmir where 26 people were killed.

Islamabad had denied the accusation and promised to return to the missile attacks, and also said it shot down five Indian aircraft, 25 drones and damaged several checkposts.

As tensions continue, authorities across the country are in high attention, where flights are also suspended at intervals.
