LeBron James is used to hearing MVP song wherever he plays, but for the most part they are for him.
However, Thursday night they were for another James: His son Bronny.

The 20-year-old got some playing time of late in Los Angeles’ 134-96 win over Wizards in Washington. The game was practically over from the jump as Lakers led 78-45 at the break.

This got Bronny, the 55th choice of last year’s NBA draft, to get a few minutes in garbage time. Maybe it was better than the “hard place” JJ Redick had put bronny the night before when he went 0-for-5 off the floor while getting time for a crucial part of the game.
In his 12 minutes played, Bronny impressed with five points, including a hard and a bucket that even got his father out of his seat.
But when James went to the line, some fans had fun with Rookie by beating him with “MVP” sang.
Of course, they were sarcastic, but they were tall, and it’s more MVP songs than most people out there got.

Bronny hadn’t seen the floor for more than six minutes coming in Wednesday, but he has now seen 27 minutes of time in Lakers’ last two games.
It has been a match for Bronny, who participated in Thursday’s competition only 1-for-16 from the floor. He average fewer than five points per Fight in its lonely season at the USC.
James has spent a decent part of the season developing in the G League, which has been much friendlier to him. In these games he puts 16.3 points per Match.
The tongue-in-check song came after Espn Mogul Stephen A. Smith tore Lebron to stun his son’s growth in the pros.

“I beg for LeBron James as Dad. Stop this. Stop this. We all know that Bronny James is in the NBA because of his father,” Smith said Wednesday’s edition of “First Take.”
The victory improved Lakers to 27-19 with the victory, good for fifth at the western conference. They face a tough test on Saturday night when they visit Madison Square Garden to meet Knicks in third place.
