Deshaun Watson’s antenna is apparently up.
Earlier this week, Cleveland Brown’s co -owner Jimmy Haslam admitted all except for regrets acquiring Watson and then inked him for a fully guaranteed $ 230 million deal.
“We took a big turn and miss with Deshaun. We thought we had quarterback. We didn’t, and we gave up a lot of draft elections to get him. So we have to dig out of that hole,” he told journalists from the annual league meeting in Palm Beach, Florida. “Listen, I’ve said this, I think several times, Deshaun Watson was a whole organizational decision, and it ends up with (co -owner) Dee (Haslam) and I, so keep us in charge.”

Shortly after these harsh comments, Watson went to Instagram to show the work he has put into his Achilles rehabilitation.
In the social media post, Watson shared 20 photos of his rehabilitation, mostly in the gym, who worked at Shirtless in Browns’ facility.
“Maybe, if I wasn’t built for this, I would let it phase me ..” Watson wrote.
Watson was suspended to begin his tenure in Cleveland and performed only in six games in 2022. The following season he was held for only six games again. Then he played only seven games in 2024 after he suffered a broken Achilles during a home game. He jumped Achilles again earlier this year.
In his last season with the Texans in 2020, he led the NFL in passing yards. But since then he has not yet thrown 1,200 in any season. He did not play in 2021.

Ex-NFL Kicker ‘Seriously Consider’ Convention: Report
Browns has reworked Watson’s contract twice since December with invalid years, added through 2030 to give them some financial flexibility to spread dead money on the contract instead of taking a massive hit in a season. Watson is intended to be a free agent after the 2026 season.
All signs point to Cam Ward, which goes first to the Tennessee Titans, but Shedsur Sanders is likely to be available to Browns with the other choice. However, they have not exactly shown their hand at all, given that Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter will also likely be on the board.

“I think the message is, if the right person is there, we will take him,” Haslam said recently. “If not, we will find out for a year or two until we get the right person. There are good footballers in this draft and we have to make sure we get the right ones for us.”
