Myles Garrett is apparently serious about getting out of Cleveland.
Weeks after official request for a trade from Browns, Garrett is reportedly not open to an extension with the team.
To take it a step further, Cleveland.com reported that Garrett and his camp have “slammed the door” on contract negotiations.

This year’s AP Defensive Player and Four-time All-Pro 2023 issued a statement earlier this month and said he would play for a challenger.
Earlier this week, however, Brown’s General Manager Andrew Berry insisted that the team is not interested in trading with the star -controlled defensive end.
“We can’t imagine a situation where not having myles is best for Browns,” Berry said Tuesday at NFL Combine.

Main coach Kevin Stefanski added Wednesday that Garrett was part of the “current” and “future.”
Garrett is under contract with Browns for two more seasons during a five-year extension of $ 125 million he signed in 2020. However, he has no more guaranteed money back.
Browns come out of a 3-14 season, their worst since a 0-16 campaign in 2017, Garrett’s Rookie year. Quarterback Deshaun Watson fought mighty in 2024 and tore his Achilles to end his season too early. Then he underwent operation on his right Achilles in January and cast doubt on his availability for the 2025 season.

Garrett has played twice in his eight-year career. He has had double-digit sacks for seven consecutive seasons and 14-plus in each of his last four.
