Browns Star Myles Garrett requests trade in public statement

Myles Garrett will have out of Cleveland.

This year’s AP Defensive Player and Four-time All-Pro 2023 issued a public statement on Monday and requested a trade from Browns, the organization that took him first gathered in the NFL draft in 2017 and saw him grow to one of the league they Most feared Kantrushers.

Garrett quoted “desire to win” in his statement, suggesting that Browns will not give him the best chance to fulfill his Super Bowl dream before his age-30 season.

“As a kid who dreamed of the NFL, all I focused on was the ultimate goal of winning a super bowl – and this goal burns me today more than ever. My love for society in northeast ohio and the incredible fanbase of Cleveland Browns have made this one of the toughest decisions of my life.

“While I have loved calling this city my home, my desire to win and compete at the biggest phases does not allow me to be complacent. The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it’s always been to compete for and win a super bowl.

“With that in mind, I have requested to be traded from Cleveland Browns.”
