“We have to get through the next few days from a damage point of injury and see where everyone is,” Stefanski told journalists on Saturday when he was asked about Sanders’ role.

“I’m really focused on all our quarterbacks’ development and every single of these reps last night how important they are. So that’s what I’m focused on more than anything else.”

Stefanski added that Sanders can “clean up” some aspects of his performance.

“We have a standard for this position and really any position, but definitely the quarterback position. There is a standard on which we play and how we play and how we work and how we take care of the football and the type of thing,” Stefanski said.

“There are things that Sheteur can clean up, he wants to clean up. But pretty much I thought the operation was really good and it’s important when you have different guys in there

Stefanski’s comments drew criticism on social media from fans who believe Sanders is worthy of more praise after the performance.

“Getting Kevin Stefanski to praise Shedeur and not praise Rookies or QBs as a whole is like pulling teeth,” wrote an X user.

Another user wrote, “Stop playing and naming him already the starter.”

Sanders was critical of his performance Friday despite the two touchdowns.

“I played up on level? No, I don’t want to do it,” Sanders said after the game. “But in general, the main goal was to win, and that’s honest what we did.

“I feel good about being uncomfortable, so that’s what it is.”

Sanders addressed if he has a fair shot to win the starting job on Saturday.

“I just don’t think so deep into everything because there’s nothing you want to be able to control.” Said Sanders. “The most you can do is when you get your opportunity when your number is called appearing, at least doing the mere minimum and winning the game. That’s what I want to do today, and definitely things I am able to grow out of.”

Still, Sanders spent his big evening as an opportunity to aim for one of his offenders.

In a YouTube video sent by his brother, Deion Sanders Jr., Shedeur confronted one of Browns’ beat -journalists, Espns Tony Grossi, at Bank of America Stadium. It was not an ugly interaction, although Sanders was sarcastic with the reporter.

“Tony, I hope you have something positive to say about me,” Sanders told Grossi. “You only say negative things about me. And I’m like ‘I don’t do anything for you.’ I don’t see anything positive that you ever say.

Wholesale’s answer was not audible, though they shared a laugh afterwards.

“What do I do? What did I do against you?” Said Sanders as he went away.

Browns are taking on Philadelphia Eagles In their second preseason game next week, and Stefanski said Sanders will get significant reps.

It’s not just about yourself. It’s not just about having a Jyride, but you can hurt other people … a deer or something cuts in front of you, your reaction time, it’s just dangerous.”
