Bruce Pearl Speaking Possible US Senate Race

Bruce Pearl’s name was floated as a possible candidate to replace Senator Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., In his US Senate seat when the legislature announced that he intended to drive for the Alabama governor.

Auburn Tigers Men’s Basketball Head coach even received support from the Basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley despite Pearl’s inner support for President Donald Trump.

Pearl approached the possibility of the “Scott Jennings show” and wondered if he could make as much influence on the world as head coach of Auburn.

“Can I also have influence as a basketball trainer?” Said Pearl. “I am educated children. I teach the kids … I don’t know I have to be a senator in order (get influence), there are so many things about Washington that are so dysfunctional that I don’t even know I could make a difference there.”

Auburn Athletic Director John Cohen told Al.com that he expected Pearl to be the head coach of the team of the 2025-26 season.

“I definitely expect him to be the head coach of Auburn,” Cohen said. “But I, I also expect all the policies from Nil to go and and you know our new governing body should be maintained. But things can change. We’ve seen that.”

Pearl, Jewish, has expressed his heartfelt support to Israel in the light of rising anti -Semitism in the United States since the Terrorist attacks on October 7 in Israel. He has been a supporter of how Trump has also handled the conflicts in the Middle East.

Pearl was also tapped to chair the US Israeli Education Association.

Pearl is 246-125 as Tigers’ head coach. He has led Auburn to two last four appearances, including last season.
