Bruce Willis’ rare public appearance came as he continues his battle with frontotemporal dementia.
Willis was spotted enjoying a drive through Los Angeles on Wednesday, smiling as he sat next to a friend behind the wheel.
The Die Hard the star, who turned 71 last month, kept it casual in a navy blue jacket layered over a gray t-shirt.
His wife, Emma Heming, previously revealed that the actor now lives in a single-storey home near their primary residence, supported by a full-time team of carers.
She and their daughters, Mabel (14) and Evelyn (11) visit him regularly.
Last month, Heming celebrated Willis’ birthday by sharing a nostalgic photo of him smiling by the water.
She used the occasion to highlight the launch of The Emma & Bruce Willis Fund, created to raise awareness of frontotemporal dementia, support research and provide resources for caregivers.
“This journey with frontotemporal dementia has opened my eyes to the reality that so many families face,” she wrote.
Willis was diagnosed with FTD in 2022 at the age of 67.
He also shares daughters Rumer (37), Scout (34) and Tallulah (32) with ex-wife Demi Moore.
Despite his health challenges, Willis’ latest outing gave fans a glimpse of the actor in good spirits, surrounded by the support of family and friends.
