BTC surges around 1% higher on hopes of an end to the Iran conflict

Bitcoin rose along with US stocks after Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian reportedly said the country would be prepared to end the conflict if it received security guarantees.

The crypto-asset traded at $67,762, up nearly 2% over the past 24 hours. Nasdad roughly doubled its gains on the news, now higher by 3.1%. WTI crude, meanwhile, fell from just $105 a barrel. barrel at 102 dollars.

Pezeshkian’s unconfirmed remarks raise the prospect of a diplomatic fallout, easing fears of a wider conflict that could disrupt oil flows, fuel inflation and continue to rattle global markets.
