Buckingham Palace has opened for the decisive meeting Kate Middleton held on Windsor Castle days after she withdrew from Royal Ascot.
Confusion was triggered when it was announced that the princess of Wales, who is in remission from cancer, would not participate in the second day of the horse racing festival.
Later Kensington Palace, however, had confirmed that she would not attend at all.
The Daily Mail reported that Kate was ‘disappointed’ for not being present ‘, but she has to find the right balance as she fully returns to the public facing engagements’.
After this, the publication also reported, the future queen held a crucial meeting on Wednesday when she returned to work.
Outlet reported this week that Kate Middleton privately received Melinda Gates, the former wife of Microsoft founder Bill at Windsor Castle.
Now Buckingham Palace has also confirmed Kate Middleton’s meeting in his Court Circular.
The statement says, “June 25, 2025 Kensington Palace: The Prince and Princess of Wales, Common Faters, The Royal Foundation of Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon, Ms. Melinda French Gates (founder, pivotal) on Windsor Castle received.”
