Buckingham Palace shares new update about King Charles Visit in Pope

Buckingham Palace has shared a major update on King Charles planned state visits to the Vatican in early April.

According to the palace, King Charles and Queen Camilla have postponed the visit to medical advice from the pope’s doctors.

The Palace declaration reads, “Medical advice has now suggested that Pope Francis would take advantage of a long period of rest and recreation. Their majesty sends the pope their best wishes to his reconvalescence and look forward to visiting him in Holy See once he has recovered.”

The monarch, head of the Church of England, was scheduled to meet his Catholic counterpart on April 8.

But with “mutual deal” with Holy Sete the visit that would have been Charles first to the Vatican as Monarch has now been postponed.

Previously, the palace had said, “On Tuesday, April 8, their majesties will visit Holy See to join Pope Francis in celebrating the 2025 -Anniversary. Traditionally held once every 25 years, the anniversary is a special year for the Catholic Church; a year of reconciliation, prayer and joining together.”

After the update, royal expert Cameron Walker twitly twitly: “Their majesties, as a visit to Italy, are understood to move on, but the program may be affected.”
