‘But my boy couldn’t do it!’

Netflix’s youth opens doors for big conversations: ‘But my boy couldn’t do it! ‘

Netflix’s Youth Has recently taken social media to a loop and has even given rise to converaster about the dangers lurking online.

The topic has been contacted by Susie McDonald, CEO of charity offerings aimed at educating young children as well as adults for healthy relationship building.

She was quoted to tell Reuters In an interview, “There are people who want to see it and go ‘but that boy couldn’t do it’. The point is that boy can do it.”

And “suddenly the opportunity becomes normal, and therefore we start to say what on earth can we do to prevent it from happening?”

A similar attitude has also been shared by film critic Kaleem Aftab. During his interview with the same marketing market, he noticed the importance of the series on a wider scale.

“Although on the surface it feels like it is a very British production … In fact, the themes that it deals with: What our children are doing online, what they listen to … I think it is as important in America as it is India as it is Australia,” he said before signing.

For those still undeveloped with the series, it touches on the life of a 13-year-old boy who has been accused of murdering a young girl.

The series contains 1 hour long episodes in a single take and touches the theme unbelievers that a youth could perpetuate violence against a fellow human being.

Other themes include teenage male uncertainties relating to romance, attraction, self -image and failure in romantic conditions.
