Byus Jake Retzlaff denies accusations of sexual abuse in response to trial

Byu quarterback Jake Retzlaff has denied claims that he sexually assaulted a woman in 2023, according to newly filed court documents.

Retzlaff, 22, sued for alleged battery, assault and intentional application of emotional distress from an alleged assault in Retzlaff’s apartment in November 2023, according to a trial filed in Utah last month.

He has not been accused criminal.

The woman who was identified as Jane Doe Ag claimed to have met college footballer on social media before he agreed to visit him in his apartment to play video games, ESPN reported.

According to the complaint, the woman claimed she and Retzlaff began to kiss, but he ignored her requests to stop and continued to “escalate the situation.”

The original complaint claimed that after the alleged victim tried to leave, Retzlaff put her hands around her throat and raped her, Espn reported.

In new archives on Friday, Retzlaff denied the claims and claimed that the two had engaged in consensual sex.

“Mr. Retzlaff specifically denies and categorically every single claims that he is biting, raping or suffocating [the woman]which are ridiculous and biting accusations that are all false and untrue, ”Retzlaff’s lawyers wrote via ESPN.

Retzlaff’s lawyers also accused the woman of extortion and claimed he did not hear from the woman for more than a year, but now has because he is “an NFL draft of the view” US today reported, quotes Friday’s archiving.

Retzlaff moved from California to Utah in 2023, when he transferred to Byu.

He led Cougars to an 11-2 record last season.
