The federal cabinet is expected to expand within the next two days, when new ministers are likely to be sworn into Aiwan-e-Sadr on February 27 or 28, Express News reported.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the cabinet extension is set to include members of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P).
Among PML-N legislators who are expected to participate in the cabinet is Hanif Abbasi, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Talal Chaudhry and Afzal Khokhar. From MQM-P are Mustafa Kamal, Barristrist Aqil and Huzaifa Rahman set to take ministerial positions.
In addition, Abdul Rehman Kanju and Sardar Yusuf, who previously served as federal ministers, will also be introduced. Dr. Tauqeer Shah has been appointed an adviser to the Prime Minister.
The government has also decided to include female legislator Nosheen Iftikhar from Sialkot together with Romina Khurshid Alam, Raza Hayat Hiraj and Chaudhry Riaz in the new cabinet lineup.
The swallowing gem of the new cabinet members is scheduled to take place at Aiwan-e-Sadr on February 27 or 28.
