Cabinet interruption completed with allocation of portfolios

Islamabad:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif finished rejection of the federal cabinet on Friday by allocating portfolios to newly introduced ministers as well as switching the portfolios of some serving ministers aimed at improving government efficiency in the second year.

Unlike the savings measures allegations, the Prime Minister had recently expanded his team by introducing 12 federal ministers, nine prime ministers, four specialist assistants (SAPMs) and three advisers in the federal cabinet. The new cabinet included two ministers for public affairs unit.

Despite the inclusion of some new and old faces, the cabinet was expecting to finish the portfolios. With the latest induction, the cabinet of its ranks for 30 federal ministers and nine prime ministers. Similarly, Shehbaz has three advisers and four SAPMs and six coordinators.

According to a notice of cabinet department on Friday, the “Prime Minister has in accordance with Rule 3 (2).

It said Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry got the Ministry of Parliament Ministry; Ali Pervaiz Malik, Petroleum; Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, National Heritage and Culture; Khalid Magsi, Science and Technology; Hanif Abbasi, Railways; Mueen wattoo, water resources; Junaid Anwar, Maritime Affairs; Raza Hayat Harraj, Defense Production; Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Religious Affairs and Interreligious Harmony; Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Information Technology and Telecommunications; Rana Mubashar Iqbal, Public Affairs and Syed Mustafa Kamal, National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination.

The new prime ministers include Malik Rasheed Khan for national food security and research; Abdul Rehman Kanju, power with additional portfolio of unity for public affairs; Aqeel Malik, Law & Justice; Bilal Azhar Kayani, Railways; Kesoo Mal Kheal Das, Religious Affairs and Interreligious Harmony; Mohammad Awn Saqlain, Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development; Mukhtar Ahmad Malik, National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination; Talal Chaudhry, Interior & Narcotics Control and Wajiha Qamar for Federal Education and Professional Education.

The message also carries the names of the ministers that already serve in the federal cabinet with new or redistributed portfolios. They include Khawaja Asif as Minister of Defense, Azam Nazeer Tarar as Minister of Law and Justice with further portfolio of human rights, Musadik Malik as Minister of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination.

Attaullah Tarar will continue to act as Minister of Information and TV spread, dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui as Minister of Federal Education and Professional Education, Qaiser Sheikh as Minister of Investment, Abdul Aleem Khan as Minister of Communication, Chaudhry Salik Hussain as Minister of Awe Pakistanis & Human Resource Development and Rana Tanveer Hussain as National Food Food & Research.

The advisers were also awarded to the portfolios. Rana Sanaullah Khan would continue as an adviser to political and public affairs and inter-province coordination, Dr. Syed Tauqir Hussain Shah would act as an adviser to the Prime Minister’s office, Muhammad Ali as advisor for privatization and Perez Khattak as advisor to domestic affairs. They all have the status of a federal minister.

Similarly, the SAPMs are: Syed Tariq Fatemi; Fahd Haroon for Digital Media; Ambassador (Retd) Muhammad Sadiq as a special representative of Pakistan in Afghanistan; Tariq Bajwa, coordination of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister; Haroon Akhtar for Industries & Production, Huzaifa Rehman, National Heritage & Culture; Mubarak Zeb, tribal affairs and Talha Burki, Political Affairs. SAPMS has the status of prime minister. Only Fatemi does not have a particular portfolio.

The coordinator of the Prime Minister is: Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharat for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination; Shabbir Ahmed Usmani to Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit Baltistan; Romina Khurshid Alam for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination; Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan (without portfolio), Badar Shahbaz for media; And Ikhtiar Wali for Information for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa affairs.
