Caitlin Clark’s competitive brand was obviously far from extinguished as she remained sideline with a groin injury without a real schedule for her return to court.

The Indiana Fever star was stained to enter it with the Phoenix Mercury star Dewanna Bonner during their game on Tuesday night. Mercury won, 85-79.

Bonner went back to her bench and signaled that she would have a repeat on a previous call. Clark, in black sweat, came from the bench and looked to tell Bonner to get back to the bench. The two apparently began to jaw on each other as players hanging together. Bonner had to be escorted back to his side by his teammates.

Bonner had 19 points and four rebounds in 25 minutes from the bench as Phoenix improved to 26-14 in the season. Indiana fell to 21-20.

The WNBA veteran has some history with Clark. She played for Connecticut Sun last season, and in their playoff -matchup exchanged Bonner and Clark words and had to be separated.

Bonner joined the fever during the high season, but was only with the team in nine games before she requested her release. She later joined Phoenix – where she spent the first 10 seasons of her career. An appropriate question was the only reason she left the team.

Indiana still plays for a place in the playoffs with three games left. The team is in eighth place in the WNBA position. The fever plays Chicago Sky, followed by Washington Mystics and Minnesota Lynx.
