Caitlin Clark named ‘Face of the NBA’ by the previous player

NBA characters have jumped into a “Face of the League” debate only weeks after the criticism that the All-Star game received in comparison with the NHL’s 4 Nations Face-off.

A previous draft of the first round, chosen from North Carolina, made his case about who he thought the NBA’s face is-Caitlin Clark.

“NBA’s face is Caitlin Clark !!!” Ex-NBA-Guard Rashad McCants wrote in a post on Saturday on X. “Yes, I said that !!!! She has handled criticism better than the people you consider the greatest of the time !!!!! @CaitlinClark22 Your Ged !!!”

McCants then pointed to the latest news about exhibition games that Indiana Fever will be a part of.

The fever plays an exhibition game against the Brazilian national team in Iowa before the WNBA season begins. Tickets for that game sold out in less than an hour. In addition, Chicago Sky moved their home matches against the fever from the WinTrust Arena to the United Center.

Last week, Minnesota Timberwolves -Guard Anthony Edwards said he wouldn’t be the face of the league. Los Angeles Laker’s star LeBron James empathy with it.

“Why do you want to be the face of a league when all the people who cover our games and talk about our games on a daily basis S — on everyone?” James asked journalists on Thursday.

“That responsibility – it’s just weird. It’s strange energy from the people who … I don’t know.”

James said he understood where Edwards came from with his remarks.

“(Anthony Edwards) said he doesn’t want it. I mean, of course, I didn’t ask for it; but I knew there was a responsibility to me – not just for my family, my friends, my community and who would follow my journey throughout my career, not only to Ohio when I started there – but everywhere in America and all over the world when traveling all over the world,” he said.

“I’ve always taken it seriously and understood from the start of what being a professional is about and being a role model is about … I feel ant. I understand it. I understand it completely. It’s just weird energy when it comes to it.”
