The tensions were high in the early one to walk between Indiana Fever and Atlanta Dream on Thursday night.
The two teams were removed 48 hours from a match that came down to the final seconds that the dream won, 91-90. So maybe there was some transfer.
With less than 30 seconds to go in the first quarter, Caitlin Clark and Rhyne Howard exchanged some words and had to be separated. Howard played full court defense against Clark, dribbling up on court.

Refs whistled the piece and the two encountered each other. Both seemed to extend an arm and Clark began to move away from the situation before Howard took a step forward. But one of Howard’s teammates quickly stepped in and brought Howard away.
“I’m not afraid of you,” Clark thought to say, and she was supported by her teammates.
Despite the excited moment on Thursday, they shared a fun one earlier this month in the forecast when Howard Ghostly picked on Clark’s ear after their exhibition, which got a laugh from Clark.

It was a slow evening overall for Clark, who had only six points on the way into the fourth quarter. She had 27 points two nights earlier against Atlanta.
Indiana pulled, 75-71, with just over two minutes left, but it ended the game on a 10-1 race. Clark added five points in the fourth quarter to finish with 11.
Clark’s teammate, Natasha Howard, led the way with 26 points while Rhyne Howard fell 24.
The drawer between Clark and Howard came five days after Clark and Angel Reese had to be separated. Clark was called for an obvious error on Reese who then had words to Clark.
The incident received a study of alleged hateful comments on Reese of fans on the game. Reese repositioned a Tiktok who said she is “uncertain” playing in Indiana.
