Cunningham talked a lot about Clark when she joined the fever.

“We’ve been talking quite a bit in the last few months since I’ve been traded and she’s just a good person,” Cunningham told Pakinomist Digital about Clark back in April. “I think she has humor for her, she has knowledge for her. Everyone with whom I have spoken said she is a great teammate. She just wants to win, right?”

She said she thinks that Indiana’s “style of games” is something she thrives in and that if chemistry on the field is there, this team is a good chance of winning a championship.

“I’m just excited about [Clark’s] Competitiveness. I’m excited about everything she brings to the table. But again, I’m excited about everyone, right? You have Kelsey Mitchell, who has also been a veterinarian who has also been there for years, who is also a hell of a player. And then for me just to be part of something for the first time – a new team for the first time in six years – I just think it’s a fresh wind. That’s what I needed. It’s gene motivated, it focuses on my energy again. And again, as at the end of the day, I just want to win. I want championships and I think this is the right team to it. ”

Cunningham, 28, was chosen by Phoenix in the second round of the WNBA draft in 2019 and has become one of the league’s most popular players. She appeared in 182 matches, an average of 7.7 points per year. Match, 2.7 gathered rebounds and 1.4 assists.
