Colin Clark, the brother of the Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, suggested that WNBA officials were to blame for the injury of the sharp shooter, which she suffered on Tuesday night.

Clark left the game in the last minute after she got up limp after a rejection pass for Kelsey Mitchell. She gently went down to her own basket and knocked her head against padding in frustration. When she left the court, she was seen in tears.

The two-time All-Star had missed several games due to injury and worked his way back to full health after a groin injury. Physicalness was not rejected. That led to Colin Clark’s post on social media in the midst of the concern over his sister.

“Make no mistake, this is on Reffing,” he wrote at X.

Colin Clark deleted the post afterwards.

But the official had been under the microscope all season. Players from the fever and Connecticut Sun entered a fight earlier this year when officials let competitive games turn into heated confrontations, which led to a bigger question.

Fever -head coach Stephanie White talked about the physical game of Indiana’s victory over Connecticut on Tuesday night.

“There is a level of physicality that they are able to play with against her. I knew it as an opponent and I see it as her coach. I’m not quite sure why that’s just what it is,” she said. “We have to help her learn to adapt and use it against them in certain ways. We have to find some ways to make it a little easier for her.”

Admittedly, White added that WNBA as a whole has seen more physical play on the field than ever before.

“The level of physicalness in general in our league has been at a different level than it has been for a long time.”
