A legendary MLB franchise -record fell Saturday night.
Seattle Mariners Catcher Cal Raleigh hit his 57th home drive in the season against Houston Astros to break Ken Griffey Jr.’s single-season mood dating back to 1997.

Raleigh is in a race with New York Yankees’ Aaron judge for all MVP. While Raleigh has the edge of Judge in Homers and RBI, Judge apparently leads any other important offensive category, including OPS with about 180 points at the time of publication.

Judge also wins space at Raleigh in home runs after hitting his 49th season Saturday against Baltimore Orioles. Judge has hit five home runs in 10 matches after shaking his hands with President Donald Trump in Yankees’ clubhouse on September 11 and even passing Yankees legend Joe Dimaggio on the franchise’s career-driven list the day after meeting Trump.
Some fans credited the jokingly Trump’s handshake to the referee’s recent wave of power.
