The Trump administration announced on Wednesday that it will sue the California Department of Education (CDE) and California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) of alleged violations of title IX.
The administration asks for an injunction of state policy to allow men from competing in women’s sports – a question that reached a fever height earlier this year when a transgender athlete won several events in girls’ freedom.
The US Education Department recently found California in violation of section IX.
