Zen 6 CPUs now have “preliminary support” in a system monitoring tool
Typically, this support comes into play about 12-18 months before release
Given that we could look at Zen 6 -chips that were sold late in 2026
AMDS ZEN 6 -DESKTOP processors are more completely on the radar now, as the chips have been mentioned in a popular piece of software suggesting that they may not be too far away.
Things have been pretty quiet around the next gene Ryzen chips to date, but the Zen 6 Series has just appeared in AIDA64, a widely used system monitoring and diagnostic tool (which offers a famous stress test for CPUs).
As Toms Hardware discovered, HXL posted on X to share the release notes for the new Beta version of Aida64, which says it brings “preliminary support” to the next Gen AMD Desktop (and laptop) processors.
This is just the basis for supporting the next selection of Ryzen CPUs, but it suggests that follow-up chips for AMDS Ryzen 9000 processors are in depth faster than the rumor mill previously believed.
Typically, this form of early support for a new series of CPUs in Aida64 arrives about 12 to 18 months before the silicon in question can be purchased.

This means that we could witness AMD reveal its Zen 6 -Desktop processors on Computex 2026, in a year, perhaps in front of a release date of late in 2026, or maybe early in 2027. These chips are the codename Medusa Ridge, and the rumors around them claim we could see CPUs who Ryzen, and who has 8 choirs on its CHPUs).
If it is true – and it is a significant if Of course, we could see the Mainstream X3D processor for the next generation offer 12 cores, all of which are increased by 3D V-cache (in a single chiplet), making it a potentially heavyweight game offering. The current WorkHorse Ryzen 9800x3d has 8 kernels that can press the decisive cache and yes, the higher level Ryzen 9 x3D chips still have more grains, but don’t forget that only half of these kernels have access to 3D V-cache (since it is located on top only one of the two chiplets these CPUs function).
In theory, the name of the next series of Desktop -CPUs from AMD will be Ryzen 10000, although it is given the opportunity to be mistaken that for Ryzen 1000, it may be possible Team Red possibly redirect to another name convention.
Finally, it’s worth making it clear that I’m talking about the arrival time frame for desktop processors here, not mobile chips. APUS for laptops is joined to be called Medusa Point, and they probably do not make it until a while after the Desktop offer, but expect them to be just as promising.
