ISLAMABAD:
The federal government has decided to introduce two new housing sectors in the capital, with development work on sectors F-12 and G-12 progressing rapidly.
The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) is preparing to announce the sectors either simultaneously or in phases. According to sources, the move comes in response to the increasing demand for housing in Islamabad.
Sources said the layout plan for Sector F-12 has been finalised, though its PC-I approval is still pending; further development will continue once it is formally approved. Meanwhile, PC-I for Sector G-12 is also in the approval process. The sectors are expected to be announced once key issues, including rates and planning approvals, have been finalised.
It remains possible that Sector F-12 will be launched first, or both sectors could be revealed together. The introduction of these new sectors is expected to benefit federal employees as well as members of the wider public.
In addition, development work has already begun in sectors F-14 and F-15 in the federal capital.
