A car parked outside a house in Karachi’s Shah Faisal Colony was stolen within seconds and CCTV footage of the incident is now doing the rounds on social media.
The theft took place at Alfalah Society where two motorcycle riding suspects carried out the crime with speed and coordination, Express News reported.
In the footage, a suspect can be seen skillfully unlocking the car door and starting the vehicle in moments before driving off.
The car owner, Atiq Ahmed, filed a case at the Shah Faisal police station and stated that the theft took place on January 24. Ahmed, who drives a taxi through a transport app, revealed that the vehicle was essential to his livelihood.
The police have transferred the case to the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) for further investigation. The authorities are examining the footage to track down the culprits.
