Proof-of-Stake Blockchain Cardano switches to decentralized governance later Wednesday, after Plomin Hard Fork comes into force, said the Cardano Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting the project at X.
“Plomin Hard Fork takes effect and marks the transition to full decentralized control. ADA holders get real voting – on parameter changes, tax retraction, hard forks and the future of blockchain,” said the Cardano Foundation. “[It’s] A milestone in blockchain control. “
Cardanos Ada -Token changed hands at 93 cents at the time of press, an increase of 1.4% a day, according to data from Coindesk and TradingView. A hard fork is a non-backward-compatible change of blockchain’s programming.
Plomin Hard fork needs stakepool operators to upgrade their nodes and approve the upgrade with a 51% vote. From last week, almost 80% of the nodes were raised to the new version.
