Arizona Cardinals looked like they were driving to their third win in the 2025 NFL season, but two head-cratching errors resulted in the Tennessee Titans’ first win of the year instead.
The titans defeated Cardinals, 22-21, on a walk-off field goal to flip a four-match’s losing row to start the year, while Arizona was left flabberted after blowing a 21-6 lead they had at the break.
Arizona’s first Bisarre Bombert came up with what should have been the game-sealing score for the homemaker when Emari Demercado broke free of what looked like a 72-yard touchdown race.

However, he committed the biggest do-not in the NFL when he was seen release the ball before crossing the finish line. So instead of a 28-6 lead for the Cardinals to start the fourth quarter, the titans got the ball on the 20-yard line after a terrible touchback.
Titans Quarterback Cam Ward used that gift to walk 80 meters to the team’s first touchdown of the game when Tony Pollard busted into the final zone from a farm out to make it 21-12 (Joey Sly’s extra point was not good).

The other boom for the Cardinals was even more crazy to wrap your head around. It looked like Arizona was getting the game-sealing eavesdropping when DAGRION Taylor-Demerson drew a tilted Ward Pass while Tennessee was in the red zone. But Taylor-Demerson tumbled to the ground and lost the ball.
From there it was pinball when several cardinals players tried to restore fumble, but the ball managed to rice his way into the final zone where the titans recipient Tyler Lockett secured it. It was controlled a touchdown because the ball remained live, even with the boots from the Cardinals players.

The result was now 21-19, and Cardinals had the opportunity to still save a win despite the terrible mistakes. But after Titans’ defense forced a point, Ward had time to get downfield and maybe give Slye the chance of victory.
That’s exactly what he did when he found Calvin Ridley on a 38-yard strike to put the titans on Cardinals ’15 -yard line. An 11-yard race from Pollard secured a chip-shot-field goal chance, and Slye buried the 29-yarder on the buzzer for the impossible victory.
Ward finished the game 21-AF-39 in 265 yards without touchdown passports and an eavesdropping, while Pollard had 67 yards rushing at 14 carrier with his score. Ridley led the passport with 131 yards on only five catches.

For Cardinals, Murray 23-of-31 went into 220 yards, 98 of those going to Marvin Harrison Jr. on four catches.
