St. Louis Cardinals star Willson Contreras had to keep an eye on his coaches rather than the ball on Monday night in the team’s 7-6 win over Pittsburgh Pirates.

Contreras was thrown out after he knocked out in the seventh lap. He broke out in anger on the home plate Judge Derek Thomas as he went back to Dugout and was to be held back by a couple of cardinal trainers, including manager Oliver Marmol.

The first Baseman still had bats in his hand and threw bats at the first base trainer Brant Brown.

Contreras said he did not argue for any seats.

“I did not argue for any pitch,” said contraras. “All I said was, ‘Call seats on both sides because you are missing for us.’ Then I turned around.

Head of Crew Jordan Baker told a pool reporter that Contreras and Marmol “said vulgar things” to Thomas. Baker added that Contreras came in contact with the judge.

“We will review the tape and what the office sends to us and we send it in, send the report to Major League Baseball and let them handle that part of it,” Baker said.

Contreras said he apologized Brown to throw bats.

He finished the game 1-for-4 with two RBI before being thrown.
