Skirmish was broken up, but Raptor’s head coach Darko Rajakovic called the last minute’s slam “disrespect.”

“I think what Tristan did was no class and disrespect,” Rajakovic said. “I don’t want to stand for it, for sure. I love when my team stands up for itself. It was no class.”

Raptor’s guards Scottie Barnes and Jamal Shead were among those who confronted Thompson. Barnes refused to comment after the game, but Shead agreed with Rajakovic.

“What he did at the end of the game was just a bit disrespectful to the basketball match, not just us,” SHEAD said. “We had a few choices words. We are adults. We move on from it.”

Cleveland star Donovan Mitchell was seen with his hands over his head in disbelief after Thompson’s thump. Head coach Kenny Atkinson didn’t have many answers to that.

“I’m not sure what he was thinking,” said Atkinson. “Sometimes you play the game, and you just have a reaction. I know with Tristan, there’s no bad intention there. I just think you’re playing, and the goal of the game is to score. Unfortunately.”
